Investigators are looking into the implosion as a ship carrying Titan debris docks in Canada
Ship unloading Titan wreckage in Canada
As the inquiry into the deadly accident continues, a ship flying the Canadian flag docked in Canada on Wednesday carrying debris from the exploded submersible Titan.
The Titan submarine from OceanGate Expedition's return voyage was carried by Horizon Arctic as it approached St. John's, Newfoundland's harbour. On June 18, it vanished while on an expedition to the Titanic's North Atlantic debris. There were 5 passengers on board.
Due to its connection to the Titanic, the disappearance of the submarine sparked an international rescue effort that captured the interest of the entire globe. The 96 hours of breathing air that the five passengers were said to have had was another factor that prompted the frenzied search.
